4th of July Berry Dessert

I have made this dessert every year for the 4th for as long as I can remember. It has become a staple and neighbors, guests, and family members beg me to make it every year! It is super simple, but tastes out of this world delicious! I only make it once a year because it is now the traditional 4th dessert, and honestly, I would probably eat the whole pan if I didn’t have a party of people to share it with!

Berry Dessert

Prep time: 25-30 minutes (plus 2 hour chill time) | Cook time: 8 minutes

Servings: 12-15

Ingredients

Crust:

  • 1 1/2 sleeves graham crackers, crushed
  • 1/2 c sugar
  • 1/3 c butter, melted

Cream cheese layer:

  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1/4 c sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 2- 8 oz cool whip

Pudding:

  • 2 -3.4 oz vanilla instant pudding boxes
  • 2 -1/2 c cold milk

Other:

  • 1-2 pints strawberries
  • 1 pint blueberries (my family likes me to leave the blueberries off and it is also delicious)

Instructions

Combined all crust ingredients and press into 9x13in pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 minutes and then let it cool.

Beat the sugar, milk, and cream cheese together. Fold one of the cool whip containers and spread over the cooled crust.

Add berries if you would like now, or you can add them to the top, or both!

Beat the pudding mix with the milk for 2-4 minutes or until it thickens. Add to top of the berries/cream cheese layer.

Add the remaining cool whip container on top and then decorate with berry flag. Keep in the fridge for several hours until ready to serve!

Enjoy!
