Fried Ravioli

Jump to Recipe

This post should lean into the "Game Day Stress-Reliever" vibe. It’s for the person who forgot they had to bring a dish to the party or doesn't want to spend the whole game in the kitchen.

The Super Bowl is all about the snacks, but nobody wants to be stuck at the stove while the halftime show is on. Enter: The Forgotten Ravioli. We’re taking that bag of frozen pasta hiding in the back of your freezer and turning it into a crispy, golden, toasted appetizer that will disappear faster than the opening kickoff

These are "Toasted" not "Deep Fried." It’s less mess, less oil, and you still get that satisfying crunch, but slightly healthier.

You do not need to boil the pasta first…. Cooking them straight from frozen keeps the filling from leaking out and ensures the center stays creamy while the outside gets crunchy. Also this works with cheese, beef, or even spinach ravioli. It’s a "choose your own adventure" snack!

Fried Ravioli

Serving Size: 6

Prep time: 10 minutes | Cook time: 10 minutes

Ingredients:

  • Frozen Ravioli (I used half a family sized bag)
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • marinara for serving

Instructions

Get your dredging station set up with a shallow dish of flour, one with egg mixed with the milk, and the last with the bread crumbs. Roll the ravioli in the flour, shaking off excess. Then in the egg, making sure to cover all the flour bits, and finally in the bread crumbs. Set aside and continue with the rest of the ravioli.

Preheat your air fryer to 350° degrees. Spray the bottom of your try with avocado spray and place the raviolis in one layer spraying the top of them as well. Air fry for 10 minutes, flipping half way through.

Serve with your favorite marinara sauce and enjoy!
